I am an IT Consultant and I tried this product because I had some HP printer software that HP’s uninstaller couldn’t uninstall. So I uninstall the printer software and it works fine. However, on Windows 8.1 Pro, after I restarted ALL OF MY TILES FOR PROGRAMS, DESKTOP, MICROSOFT OFFICE and many others were REMOVED AS WELL — it rendered our computers UNUSABLE. Not only are the tiles gone, but the programs cannot be searched on the Windows 8.1 Start Screen. In fact, if you don’t know the keyboard commands for getting to the desktop, you CANNOT LEAVE THE START SCREEN and YOU CANNOT LAUNCH ANY SOFTWARE including the Windows Store, Microsoft Office, or ANYTHING ELSE. The only way to get a program running is to use the Windows-Key – D keyboard shortcut, go into your Program folder on the main hard drive and find the EXE file in the folders. It is a disaster which is going to cost me nearly 10 hours wiping and reinstalling two machines because even after a System Restore, the linked Microsoft Account restores the Start Screen to the BROKEN EMPTY start screen which is why I have to REINSTALL THE COMPUTERS FROM SCRATCH. And then, if you’re using Microsoft Accounts, the BROKEN START SCREEN IS PROPAGATED TO ALL YOUR OTHER MACHINES! PERFECTINSTALLER’s supposed 24/7 Technical Support never responded to my requests for over 2 days in the middle of the week. In fact, their “24/7 Technical Support” never responded, I had to open a Paypal dispute at which point their transaction clearinghouse called ClickBank refunded my payment and their technical support NEVER RESPONDED. This may work for some programs, but I strongly suggest if you use it, buy it with Paypal so you can at least get your money back if it doesn’t, because you won’t hear from their tech support!
Pros: uh, nothing
Cons: wrecked computer damage automatically propagated to other machines on the network like a virus
